Stage 01

Scoping & threshold agreement

We document anomaly definitions, reporting window, audience, and delivery format in a one-page scope memo. Both parties sign off before data transfer. This prevents mid-project disagreements about what counts as flagged.

Stage 02

Data intake & field mapping

Ledger exports arrive via agreed secure channel. We validate field mappings—date formats, beneficiary identifiers, amount columns—and report mismatches within two business days. No chart production begins until mapping is confirmed.

Stage 03

Pattern identification

Analysts run statistical passes to locate velocity spikes, geographic outliers, beneficiary concentration, and round-amount clustering. Findings are logged with transaction reference codes before any visual design begins.

Stage 04

Chart composition & annotation

Each chart receives a brass-charcoal visual treatment designed for A3 print and projection. Annotations explain the flagged cluster in plain language with reference codes linking back to source rows.

Stage 05

Review, revision & archival delivery

Draft folio delivered for client review. One revision round included in flagship reports. Final delivery includes high-resolution PDF, editable chart sources, and a presentation notes document for committee meetings.

Visual legend used across all engagements

Consistency matters when directors compare charts across quarters. Every Acacia chart uses the same color assignments:

This legend appears on the first page of every folio and on each chart board during executive briefings.

Data handling

Client ledger extracts remain on encrypted working storage for the engagement duration only. We do not retain data beyond delivery unless a retainer agreement specifies monthly refresh cycles. Analysts access data on studio workstations without cloud sync.
